Sidney J. Suo is an attorney representing Warren Alloy. He wants my pictures of Warren Alloy removed by November 10, 2005

Sidney J. Suo sent me a letter dated Oct 12, 2005, insisting that my pictures of Warren Alloy, 32800 Mound Road, Warren, Michigan, are "unauthorized" and that my display of them and my references to Warren Alloy are "prohibited." Sidney J. Suo has demanded, on behalf of Warren Alloy, that I remove my photos of and references to Warren Alloy by November 10, 2005, "to prevent further action by Warren Alloy."

I tried by phone, email, and letter to extract from Mr. Suo the details of his complaint in order to quickly resolve it. I offered to accommodate any reasonable objection or suggestion that he cares to specify, but none were forthcoming. Sidney Suo responded only by reiterating his unexplained demands.

If Sidney J. Suo had a legitimate complaint, he could have resolved it in ten minutes with a phone call to me explaining his case, and his client's demands would have been met by Oct 13. Now it's December 4, and I haven't heard boo from Sidney J. Suo in six weeks. I think Sidney Suo was blowing smoke, trying to intimidate me into censoring myself, and that he had, and knew he had, no legal basis for action. I think that's low and irresponsible, and this page will sit right here saying so until Sidney J. Suo persuades me otherwise.

For your trouble, Sidney J. Suo, you've managed to convince me that I should post a few more pictures of Warren Alloy, and you've persuaded me to add this page to my website in your honor. Nice going, Sid!

To the folks at Warren Alloy, please don't take this personally. I took the pictures of your building because I sincerely think it is beautiful. That moldy east wall is as nice as any Monet, and the dust collector in the alley is as lovely as any marble in Florence. If you'll inspect the rest of DetroitSubway.com, you will understand that this site exists to exalt the colors, textures, and patterns that nature and humans wreak on one another, and that I grind no editorial, political, or civic axes here. If my pictures offend you, please call or write, and we'll work this out directly. You can leave Sid out of it.
